The work plan is divided into four technical work packages:
WP2: Building-level control
The aim is to design and implement a DCVH (Demand Controlled Ventilation and Heating) system controller with Smart Grid functionality for power grid integration and verify the performance of the controller experimentally
WP3: Aggregator-level control
A commercial aggregator will be designed, implemented and evaluated to control the optimal utilization of the offered flexibility.
WP4: Integration and verification of the whole setup
In WP4, the DCVH (Demand Controlled Ventilation and Heating) system controller prototype delivered in WP2 and the aggregator prototype delivered in WP3 will be integrated to evaluate the whole setup and interaction between the components.
WP5: Full size verification
The novel ventilation system without and with Smart Grid functionality will be installed in an existing residential building, where the performance of the setup, indoor climate and energy use can be monitored and evaluated.
